If you live or want to live in the Santa Clarita Valley, if you are buying a home or selling a home, you only need know one name: Dan Andrizzi. Like a good pair of boots, Dan is “all you’ll ever need.” After thirty years together, Robin and I have bought and sold our fair share of houses. Along the way, we loved and hated our fair share of realtors. Mostly hated. We recently emptied the nest and are in the process of downsizing. Because of past experiences, we dreaded entering into another bad realtor relationship. Dan has cured us of our fears and restored our faith in real estate transactions. They can actually be honest and, dare I say, fun. If you work with Dan, that is. Our situation was not simple. We wanted to sell the house this spring but have been living in North Carolina, so the entire process had to be executed long distance. Dan was amazing. He happily supervised minor repairs and helped connect us to his trusted vendors. He offered perfect suggestions to stage the house. He appears to be gifted, perhaps clairvoyant, at determining listing price and date. Our house was on the market for just a few days when we received an offer for the asking price. Dan then supervised the entire closing process with a calm, cool, and very experienced demeanor. He is a decisive leader. He instills confidence. And he’s a damn fine human being. We are now in the process of moving to Portland, Oregon. Dan collected his commission weeks ago. And yet our relationship continues. He is taking time out of his day to interview realtors on our behalf in the Portland area. He wants to make sure our love affair with real estate continues, even if he is not directly involved. Let me start off by saying that Daniel is a dream agent - regardless of your real estate needs. The level of patience that he displayed with me during my search for a home is beyond comprehension. I was a first time homebuyer and had the funds but unfortunately no idea about how the market worked and what boundaries I should set for myself. In fact, let's just say - I didn't - limit myself that is. Through all of my mood swings and constant change of plans Dan was a trooper - patient, always explained the good, bad and ugly of each scenario. He never cancelled appointments. And in the end when I found just the perfect place, he knew how busy my schedule was, so he coordinated with my mortgage guy to ensure that I knew exactly what documents to have ready and when/where to send them. Basically, he was hands on and a phone call away through the entire process up to the point when I received my keys and even then we kept in touch to make sure everything was going forward without any issues. While I was receiving this white glove service (which is his standard level of client care), he had a major operation on his arm (but he still managed to show me properties a week post-op!!) and planned a wedding - not to mention handling his other clients. This speaks to his incredible dedication to his clients and how personally involved he is in a search - he wants it to happen just as much as you do - but only with the right property (this is a key point). I would hire him again without a second thought - I had gone through other realtors prior to meeting him and honestly their pushiness and the entire approach of trying to convince you love a place which you hate was NOT my style and it irritated me to no end. So, when I met Dan and it was clear had no hidden agendas and was primarily concerned with my happiness, not the size of his commission - I thought I was dreaming. This is pretty simple. My wife and I found our perfect home and Dan helped us purchase it. In today's market buying a home can be pretty difficult. Dan and his team did a tremendous job keeping us informed and up to date through the entire process. Dan also did an amazing job during the offer process. We were not sure if we were going to be able to put in an offer that was high enough to land us this home. We were basically at our max budget. Somehow, Dan was able to get our offer accepted over all of the others. Some of which were higher $ than ours. The icing on the cake is the appraised value of the home. We had concerns going into escrow in regards to the appraisal for the loan. Dan felt strongly that we would not have too much of an issue getting a good appraisal.
